2008 Annual Dinner & Meeting

The National 600 Club will hold its 60th Annual Meeting on Monday, May 19, 2008, at the Radisson Hotel Detroit-Livonia, Michigan. If staying at the Radisson, you may request the National 600 Bowling Club special group rate of $89 + tax/night. Use Promotional Code - NAT600 when making reservations. Ticket ordering information for the dinner meeting is listed below.

For dinner, the cost is $24 per person and tickets will be available from January 1, 2008 until May 1, 2008. Tickets must be ordered in advance.

2007 Annual Dinner & Meeting

The National 600 Club held its 59th Annual Meeting at the Holiday Inn, Billy Graham Parkway in Charlotte, North Carolina, on Monday, May 21, 2007, hosted by the Local Charlotte 600 Club. Following the dinner, entertainment was provided by a visit from "Edith Ann" (Marilyn Miller) who kept the group in stitches relating stories of her childish exploits.

The Annual Meeting was called to order by President Pam McKay with the full National 600 Club Board of Directors present. Secretary Margaret Lancaster reported on the National 600 Tournament in progress at Northcross Lanes and AMF Carolina Lanes. Chairman Jackie Freeman reported on the results of the Mail-O-Graphic Tournament and indicated that next season's tournament will take place January 14, 2008, through February 3, 2008. Incentive awards were presented by Chairman Phyllis Eagar and Committee Members Kay Turner and Joyce VanZandt. Reelected for positions on the National 600 Board were First Vice President Jae Etcheverry, Sergeant-at-Arms Connie Schedler, and Director Hicy Leonard.

The recognition of achievements by many of our Local and State Clubs was featured. Receiving awards for State Associations with the largest increase in membership of 10 or more during 2005-2006 bowling season were: Wisconsin, with an increase of 16 and Florida with an increase of 12.

Receiving recognition for Local Clubs with largest increase in membership were: Flint, MI - 26; Central Fox Valley, WI -13; Wausau, WI - 12; and Towanda, PA - 10.

The following states were also recognized for having the Highest Tournament Participation during the 2006 Tournament in Reno, NV, outside of the hostess state.

Recognition was also given to the top five states in the 2007 Mail-O-Graphic Tournament which were New York, Texas, Florida, North Dakota and Michigan
