2011 Annual Dinner & Meeting

The National 600 Club will hold its 63rd Annual Meeting on Monday, May 23, 2011, in Syracuse, New York. Ticket ordering information for the dinner meeting will be posted when available.

2010 Annual Dinner & Meeting

The National 600 Club held it's 62nd Annual Dinner/Meeting at the Wyndham Hotel in El Paso, Texas on Monday May 17, 2010, with 50 members present. A donation was made to the Bowler's Veterans Organization, BVL, by members in attendance at the dinner/meeting of $485 which included $310 collected through the raffle of a "Chief's Blanket" donated by the El Paso Chief of Police, Greg Allen. The blanket was won by Audrey Rodriguez, Secretary-Treasurer of the Florida 600 Club.

The Annual Meeting was called to order by President Pam McKay. Margaret Lancaster, Secretary, reported on the National 600 Tournament which is run in conjunction with the Women’s USBC Championships and advised the members that the scores were posted on our website. Pam Korff, Director and member of the Mail-O-Graphic Committee, reported on the results of the Tournament and indicated that next season’s tournament will take place from January 23, 2011 through February 12, 2011. The oldest participant in this year's Mail-O-Graphic tournament, Gloria Perryman (84) from Schenectaday, NY, was highlighted. More information on this tournament, rules and entry forms can be found under 2011 MOG Tournament. There was no Legislation to report on this year.

Incentive Awards were presented by Kay Turner, Chairman and committee members Joyce VanZandt and Jae Etcheverry. Receiving this year’s incentive awards for State Associations with the largest increase in membership for the 2008-09 season over the 2007-08 season were: Ohio +48, New York +16 and California +10. Local Association winners were: Lansing, MI +30, Metro Detroit, MI +21, Ashtabula, OH +16, Akron Area, OH +11 and Warren, OH +11. This was the second year in a row that Metro Detroit has achieved this recognition - great job!

The following states were recognized for having the Highest Tournament Participation during the 2009 Tournament in Reno, NV.

The following States were recognized for the Highest Mail-O-Graphic participation for the 2009-10 season. They were: New York – 77, North Dakota – 66, Florida – 42, California – 14 and Nevada – 12.

Once again we would like to “Congratulate” all of these clubs for their true dedication on promoting our National 600 Club both for increasing their membership and participating in our tournaments. Without our entire Local and State 600 Clubs and their direct contact with our bowlers, encouraging them to join the National 600 Club and participating in the clubs Tournaments, our Club would not grow. Thanks to each and everyone of you for your dedication and a job well done.

Re-elected to the National 600 Club Board were: Jae Etcheverry, Vice-President, Phyllis Eagar, Sergeant-at-Arms and Darlene Webb, Director #2.
