The National 600 Club will hold its 68th Annual Meeting on Monday, April 23, 2018, in Reno, Nevada at the Grand Sierra Resort where the convention is being held.
|2017 Annual Meeting President's Report|
The National 600 Club held it's 67th Annual Meeting at Drusilla's Restaurant in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on Monday, May 8, 2017, with 21 members present and eligible to vote. A donation to the Bowlers Veteran's Organization, BVL, from our members was given to help our service members serving in our Armed Forces.
The Annual meeting was called to order by the President, Pam McKay at 1pm. Roll Call had 3 officers, 3 directors and 1 life member present and 1 excused. Following the Roll Call a letter was read from BVL thanking our members from the 2016 meeting for their donation to the men and women who serve our country.
Ann Kelley, Secretary/Treasurer and Chairman of the MOG Tournament reported their were 738 entrants with 1436 events. Click here for the complete prize list. Our oldest participant this year was Agnes Gianoli of Athens, WI who is 90 years young. Rules, entry forms for our 2018 MOG tournament are available now, click here for more info or contact the National 600 Club's office. Sincere thanks to each and everyone who participated in our tournament. Dates for our 2018 MOG tournament are: January 21st thru February 10th, 2018. Now join your fellow 600 Club members and bowl in the MOG Tournament. Blue embroidered polo shirts are given to all Division Champions.
Sincere thanks went out to Sue Braud, President of the Baton Rouge 600 club and all the tournament workers who assisted during this year's annual tournament. Without these ladies, the tournament wouldn't be the success it is.
Let the good times roll and sign up to bowl in the 2018 National 600 Club Annual Tournament which is run in conjunction with the USBC Women's Tournament. We have three divisions based on average and each division has its own prize list. Each division winner receives a blue polo shirt embroidered with National 600 Club Tournament Champion in addition to prize money. Promotion - Phyllis Eagar, Chairman, reported that the National 600 Club has card wallets for sale again and they are available at the tournament site.
Awards and Recognition - Kay Turner, Chairman, presented awards to the following: Most entrants in last year's National 600 Tournament held in Las Vegas, NV from a state - Texas, with 42; and most entrants in the 2017 Mail-o-Graphic Tournament - North Dakota, with 85.
Re-elected to the National 600 Club Board were Pam McKay, President and Barbara Elkins, Director #1. Congratulations to all.
Once again, we congratulate all local clubs for their true dedication on promoting the National 600 Club both by increasing membership and participating in our tournaments. Our clubs can grow if we all support one another.
President Pam McKay made a special presentation. The President's Award was presented to Darlene Webb, a member of the Board of Directors for Outstanding Service for the 2016-2017 season. Darlene is a board member who does what ever is asked of her without hesitation. "Congratulations" Darlene.
Now, circle your calendars and join us on Monday, April 23, 2018, in Reno, Nevada for our 2018 annual meeting at the Grand Sierra at 4:30 pm. Hopefully, since it will be the beginning of the USBC Convention more of our members can join us.
